While Isabelle and Josie and Evie were having breakfast, I went for an exhillerating, solitary walk on a narrow footpath all too close to the fast-running Alle River. Apart from small flocks of ducks tantalisingly flying ahead of me as they became aware of my presence, there was not one other soul. I loved the smoke from the odd chimney and the silence and soft snow everywhere.

And here is the Valentine-heart Michael drew in the snow in the front-yard just before he left for a week in Tokyo
Sisterly love - Josie and Evie. Josie is very affectionate but it can be quite a test for Evie's
tolerance levels! Izo handles it with a gentle "Evie needs space" - not wanting to quash genuine love!
Mamma has promised Josie a hair-cut but she is unperturbed by the good
probability that she will still be able to see in a few day's time.
