Die or is it Der or is it Das Apotheke is the one shop in the woods and just round the corner: we trudged through the snow and icey patches to get tummy medicine for Josie. She has not had any milk or sweets or anything buttery or fatty or treat-y for days on end. At the pharmacy she was offered glucose sweets - which she "grabbed"!!!!! - as best as she could with her snow-gloves. She was really beaming and eager and so so so pleased with the two small sweets: the pleasure of the child gave the pharmacist a big smile on her face and it proves once again that abscence makes the heart grow fonder and the taste buds sharper. In the chemist, a small promotion poster for tonics read: "....und der Tag lacht" Have this tonic........and the day laughs! Now we are praying that the medicine is going to get Josie back on track again.
A first for me, today was, pushing the pram with a sleeping Evie through quite thick snow.
On the way to the pharmacy Josie started to systematically demolish her mountain snow-ball by snow-ball but thankfully gave up on that mission, and decided to scale its great heights once again and wooooosh all the way down.
