From there to Bond Street: it is always without exception, a deep emotional experience to come from the buzzing Bond Street and find yourself in front of "The Hog in the Pound" - Michael's pub.
The fashionable side-street enhanced by really stylish Christmas lights. Inside we can "see" Michael behind the counter. Lots of wood-work and leathers and so full we had to stand around to wait for a vacant table. Hungry, we enjoyed a typical tasty pub lunch, memories and heavy hearts but also the realities of ongoing love, God's ongoing comfort, the understanding that flows from shared loss, One of the lyric-lines in Les Miserables describes it all so well: "There is a grief that cannot be spoken.."
I can kick myself for not taking a photo inside!
