Our grandson, Joshua, turned a whole 5 years old!

Jason and Liesl told us that at Joshua's school, the birthday-child sits on a special chair and is crowned with a golden paper crown.  Then the teacher interviews the parents and asks questions about the time when the birthday-boy was born.  The birthday-king and other 5-year olds are probably most interested in this personal account!  The teacher then prays for the family.  Then the little children and birthday boy and adults tuck into cakes and celebrate!

Enjoy your party and your swim with your friends at MacArthur pools, Joshua.  We see you in our imaginations, splashing and playing, laughing and running and feasting and the view from there over King's Beach and if it is a clear day even a few islands!

What are we praying for you on your 5th birthday?
Psalm 121 - the psalm which you learned off by heart at school and you recited to us in your husky small-boy's voice over the phone a little while ago:
"My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth"
"The LORD is your keeper, the LORD is your shade on your right hand."
"The LORD will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life."
"The LORD will keep your going out and your coming from this time forth and forevermore"

And may you, Joshua, at the right time, dedicate your life to glorifying our Lord and enjoy Him forever!

Happy Birthday our champion!
