One heart...
1) Jumping with joy at the prospect of flying off to Germany, a snow-white Hanover and spend a week with Michael and Isabelle and Josie and Evie in their Gifhorn wood. Tomorrow morning I'll pack the little gifts carefully chosen, my camera and fly at night to Europe. I'm going to hug Michael and then hug Isabelle and laugh, then swing Josie around then hold Evie tight against me! One heart, thrilling!
One heart....
2) All torn and reluctant to say goodbye to my soulmate, to lean against him for the last hug. Gordon will help me to get the luggage in the National Express bus, and we will hug again, and wave till we cannot see each other anymore for a week. One heart pleading: "let's always stay together!"
One heart..
3) That aches with longing for Jason and for Liesl and for Joshua and for Jesse at the point of Africa - to look in their faces, hear their laughs, have long chats and cook food together. One heart crying: "So many years, so far apart!"
One heart that thrills, pleads and cries.
Jesus, be Lord of that one heart, let it be all yours, true and undivided. A heart in which you pour out your love that can thrill and ache and long - a love made in the image of your love. Love that delights in us, aches for us and longs for us.And I a sigh an appreciation: such love, such grace!
